Shipping inspections and ensuring integrity play a very important role, especially for high-value production goods.
On-site project management and representation:
If the stakeholders are located in Asia and it is important to react quickly to expanded product requirements and to show presence so that the product backlog can be expanded quickly, temporary project management (local product owner) is a good option.
Especially because of the pronounced cultural differences, a local contact person can have a de-escalating/calming effect through proximity and accessibility.
